About AAPI Alliance
AAPI Alliance is composed of parents, school staff and other community supporters who are committed to empowering Asian American students to achieve their full potential. Beginning in 2021, we were inspired to fill the need for an Asian American organization that could promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the Santa Monica and West LA areas. Our community recognized the deficiency and thus began the work of gathering a core group of committed members who shared the same vision.
With the support of the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School district and key administrators, we established the AAPI Alliance in February 2023 with the hope of fulfilling this unique purpose:
To support AAPI students and their community by promoting cultural heritage, advocating for their rights, and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Today, we are a volunteer-run organization that welcomes individuals who want to encourage and inspire our students to do more and achieve success in our ever-changing world! As an organization that focuses on specific AAPI issues and advocates for DEI, we strive to be a positive and relevant force in our community.
